The catch basin has a grid (4) comprising two articulation units (3) arranged on two adjacent sides of the grid. The articulation units are arranged to permit the grid to be articulated to a side (1a) of a frame (1), integrated to a pavement (C), such that bars (5) of the grid are inclined along the flow direction of surface water arriving at the frame.
