PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute map information from the client's side to the server's side at low rates and in a short time. SOLUTION: The system comprises a server having digital map information, an encoder which modulates the digital map information to analog map information, a base station having distribution means for distributing the analog map information wirelessly, receiving means capable of receiving the analog map information, a decoder which demodulates the analog map information to digital map information, storage means which stores the digital information, and onboard equipment having display means for displaying the digital map information. The base station is provided with functions for modulating the digital map information to the analog map information and distributing it. The onboard equipment is provided with functions for demodulating the received analog map information to the digital map information, storing it, and allowing the display means to display it.
