PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording device which enables the quality of printing by accurately performing the conveying operation for the material to be recorded and the recovery-processing without making an ink splashed between the printing operations. SOLUTION: The recording device is provided with an adsorption pad section 4 which is located directly under a recording position in the case of an adsorption holding section 3 being located at the holding position while adsorbing the ink discharged from the nozzle of an ink jet head 1.
