PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head support structure which can optimize the relative positional relations of the magnetic tape and the head when recording or reproducing servo signals and improve the recording and reproducing quality of the servo signals. SOLUTION: This is a support structure of the head H1 for recording or reproducing servo signals on a magnetic tape MT. It has a base 10a, a support arm 20 which is cantilever supported on the base 10a and can adjust the position of the head H1 provided on its free end 20a relative to the magnetic tape MT, and a support 30 to support the free end 20a of the support arm 20 against the base 10a.
