PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quenching apparatus for steel-made annular body with which the steel-made annular body can be quenched at high efficiency without developing the dimensional variation exceeding the permission range. SOLUTION: This quenching apparatus for steel-made annular body is constituted by providing an outer diameter restricting member 11 having outer diameter restricting holes 12a, 12b; a quenching vessel 13 for quenching the steel-made annular body with quenching liquid 14; a first ascent/descent-driving mechanism 19 for ascendingly/descendingly driving an annular body supporting member 15 and arranged at a prescribed position of the quenching vessel 13; a second ascent/descent-driving mechanism 24 for ascendingly/descendingly driving an annular body pushing member 21, arranged at the upper part of the quenching vessel 13 faced to the annular body supporting member 15; an annular body push-up member 26 for pushing up the steel-made annular body inserted into the outer diameter restricting hole in the outer diameter restricting member 11 to the upper part of the quenching vessel 13; and an annular body transporting means for transporting the steel-made annular body inserted into the outer diameter restricting hole by driving the outer diameter restricting member 11 to a prescribed direction from the upper part position of the annular body supporting member 15 to the upper part position of an annular body push-up member 25.
