METHOD FOR PRODUCING AROMATIC AMINE COMPOUND HAVING ALKYLTHIO GROUP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-purity aromatic amine compound having an alkylthio group in high yield by which economical practice can be performed on an industrial scale while reducing a load on the environment and reducing wastes as much as possible. SOLUTION: An aromatic nitro compound in which the alkylthio group is substituted on the aromatic ring is reduced to thereby produce the aromatic compound in which the alkylthio group is substituted on the aromatic ring. In the process, the aromatic nitro compound is reduced in the coexistence of an iron compound and active carbon with a hydrazine compound. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
