PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good appearance and an ease of operation even if the outer diameter of a shaft cylinder is small in a composite writing implement in which an apex of one writing shaft is selectively projected from an opening of an apex of the shaft cylinder among a plurality of writing shafts. SOLUTION: The shaft cylinder 12 comprises a front shaft cylinder 14 and a back shaft cylinder 16 being relatively rotatable to the front shaft cylinder. In the shaft cylinder, a cam body 22 which is not rotatable to the back shaft cylinder, and a slider 32 which is not rotatable to the front shaft cylinder and is connected to the back end part of each writing shaft 30, are provided. On the cam body, a V-shaped cam projection 22b projecting forward, an end face 22c facing forward along the cam projection, and a hooking recessed part 22d at the top point part of the cam projection of the end face, are formed. On the slider, a V-shaped cam 32a projecting backward, and a slidably contacting face 32b facing backward along the cam, are formed. The slide-contact face is pressed by the end face 22c, and by relative rotation between the back shaft cylinder and the front shaft cylinder, the apex of the writing shaft is selectively projected from the apex opening 14a of the shaft cylinder.
