PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the transplanting to be carried out while keeping the distance between roots constant even if a seedling-transplanting device is lifted or lowered during traveling while transplanting the seedlings. SOLUTION: The riding type rice transplanter has the seedling-transplanting device 6 linked to the rear part of a traveling machine body 3 of a four-wheel drive type through a lifting and lowering link structure 5, a power-branching part Q for distributing the power to the right and left rear wheels 2, installed in the rear part of a transmission case 25, and the rear wheels 2 attached to the free rear end parts of the right and left transmission cases 28 extended from the power-branching part rearward respectively. The rice transplanter is constituted so that the fulcrum b at the base terminal side of a lower link 5b constituting the lifting and lowering link structure 5 may be installed in the height position near to the height of the power-branching part Q at the rear part of the power-branching part Q.
