<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for performing calculation to allow a service person to efficiently conduct a maintenance visit. <P>SOLUTION: A host device 107 manages an image forming apparatus 102 connected to a network. The image forming apparatus 102 manages a maintenance schedule based on periodic maintenance information being maintenance information standing on a long-term prediction and a maintenance expiration date obtained from alarm information being the maintenance information standing on a mid- or short-term prediction, etc. Even when a situation for requiring immediacy occurs separately from a maintenance periodic visit standing on the long-term prediction, a maintenance visit schedule is properly calculated, so as to provide the efficient maintenance schedule based on the calculation result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
