PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more exactly maintain a vehicle speed at a set vehicle speed in operation of a cruise control system.
SOLUTION: Relationship of throttle opening (corresponding to acceleration opening), the vehicle speed and target torque of a driving shaft is set at operation of the cruise control system such that larger braking torque larger than braking torque outputted to the driving shaft when the acceleration opening is wholly closed at non-operation of the cruise control system. Thereby, since sufficient braking force can be outputted to the driving shaft even when a driving load applied to the driving shaft is relatively large at traveling on a down slope, the vehicle speed can be more exactly maintained to the set vehicle speed under the control of the cruise control system.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
