<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress operation of an engine in using a heating apparatus and thereby to improve fuel economy performance, and to quickly perform heating, in an engine control device for a hybrid electric vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When a operational status detecting means 2 detects operation of the heating apparatus and a water temperature detecting means 3 detects that a cooling water temperature of the engine 17 is lower than a predetermined temperature, an engine controlling means 18 makes the engine 17 in a drive state, and when the cooling water temperature of the engine 17 is higher than the predetermined temperature, the engine 17 is not driven and an electric water pump 4 is driven to circulate cooling water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
