<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make good display possible by improving the controllability of display operations by a video signal. <P>SOLUTION: Writing operations are changed between the first and second writing operations based on the gradations to be displayed. The first writing operation includes setting a voltage signal input terminal E at a first potential, opening a switch Sw 2, and closing switches Sw 5a and Sw 5b to pass current as the video signal to a driving control element Tr. The second writing operation includes setting the voltage signal input terminal E at a second potential, opening the switch Sw 2, and closing the switches Sw 5a and Sw 5b to pass current as a reset signal to the driving control element Tr, then opening the switch Sw 5b and thereafter setting the voltage signal input terminal E at the potential corresponding to the video signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
