<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of the synchronization of a period counter with the read information. <P>SOLUTION: A WDU is defined as a unit composed of a carrier of N cycles, which carrier contains data depending on the modulated/non-modulated state, and a WPA is defined as a unit composed of a set of M pieces of the WDUs. When the WPAs are consecutively inputted, each WDU unit and each WPA unit are detected. Then timing control signals for sampling the data are obtained from a main period counter means which consists of the N period counter and the M period counter connected wit each other. In this stage, the WDU detection means detects a WDU synchronization signal indicating the division point of the WDU from the non-modulated area of the latter half of the WDU and the modulated leading part of the next WDU, and the WPA detection means detects the WPA synchronization signal from the WDU including the leading synchronization signal of the WPA. Then, the WDU synchronization signal initializes the N period counter to a set value, and the WPA synchronization signal initializes the M period counter to a set value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
