<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of starting a composite unit gas turbine (28), having a static start driver (22) and an electrical device (10). <P>SOLUTION: The method of starting the composite unit gas turbine includes a step (62) of accelerating a composite unit to the self-operating speed of a turbine, by applying a variable frequency voltage to the winding (16) of a generator by a static start driver (22) (62); a step (64) of accelerating the composite unit to exceed the self-operating speed by applying the torque generated from the turbine (28); and a step (68) of stabilizing the composite unit to a synchronous speed by applying a brake torque by the static start driver (22), when the composite unit is accelerated to the synchronous speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
