PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire die washing method and a tire die washing apparatus which are not expensive in terms of facility as in the case of using supercritical water, realize effective washing of the inside of a minute slid vent without imparting any special damage to the whole die body due to washing of the die, and realize easy maintenance. SOLUTION: The tire die washing method employs supercritical carbon dioxide as a medium of supercritical fluid reaction in a tire die washing method employing the supercritical fluid reaction. The tire die washing apparatus has three chambers comprising: a liquefying chamber for liquefying gaseous carbon dioxide; a washing chamber for washing the tire vulcanizing die by converting liquefied carbon dioxide into supercritical carbon dioxide; and a vaporization chamber for vaporizing supercritical carbon dioxide.
