摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge head mechanism or the like which has a simple structure and can purge air bubbles from a channel extending from a functional-liquid storage means to a functional-liquid-droplet discharge head. SOLUTION: A piping unit 143 connecting a functional-liquid storage means 141 to a functional-liquid-droplet discharge head 16 is equipped with the following: a branch connection 161 which has, at its upstream side, a single inflow port 201 connected to the functional-liquid storage means 141 and, at its outflow side, a main outflow port 202 and an upwardly extending sub-outflow port 203; a functional-liquid pipeline 163 of which the upstream end is connected to the main outflow port 202 and the downstream end is connected to an intra-head main channel; and an air purge pipeline 164 of which the upstream end is connected to the sub-outflow port 203 and the downstream end is connected to an air purge section. The air purge section is formed in the functional-liquid-droplet discharge head 16, independently of the intra-head main channel, and is composed of an intra-head sub-channel extending from a functional-liquid sub-introduction port 52 to a non-discharge nozzle 65b.
