METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COATED WIRE BODY, AND UV IRRADIATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a coated wire body while suppressing an increase of an oxygen concentration within a transparent tube, and to provide a UV irradiation device used for the method. SOLUTION: The wire body 10 is coated with a resin and the wire body coated with the resin is passed within the transparent tube 50 which is disposed within the UV irradiation device 30 and has translucency to UV rays. At this time, the coated wire body 40 is manufactured by irradiating the resin with the UV rays from a UV ray source 60 within the UV irradiation device to cure the resin. At this time, the wire body passes the transparent tube in the manufacturing, the amount of the outdoor air flowing into the transparent tube from an inlet of the wire body in the transparent tube is reduced and the first gas including inert gas is supplied into the transparent tube and the gas in the transparent tube is sucked and exhausted from the portion different from the portion where the first gas is supplied into the transparent tube. The oxygen concentration is kept within the prescribed range by monitoring the oxygen concentration in the transparent tube and adjusting the flow rate of the gas according to the result of the monitoring.
