PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operating force of a camera operation member to be properly set in accordance with user's taste, a use condition, etc. SOLUTION: A screw part 203 is formed on a stepped shaft 202 under a shutter release button 201, and a square nut 208 is engaged with it. A compression spring 207 is placed under the square nut 208 and energizes the shutter release button 201 upward through the square nut 208 and the stepped shaft 202. When a camera user rotationally operates the shutter release button 201, the square nut 208 is vertically moved to be able to control initial tension of the compression spring. A repulsive force at the time of depressing the shutter release button is increased/reduced in accordance with the magnitude of initial tension of the compression spring 207.
