BIODEGRADABLE BRISTLE MATERIAL FOR BRUSH, AND BRUSH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bristle material which has proper flexibility and strength when used as a brush and where the opening of bristles due to repeated use is reduced while the bristle material for the brush is biodegradable.

SOLUTION: The biodegradable bristle material for the brush is comprised of monofilaments which includes a copolyester containing aromatic dicarboxylic acid and aliphatic dicarboxylic acid as a dicarboxylic acid component and aliphatic diol as a diol component, particularly poly (ethylene terephthalate/succinate ) and/or poly (ethylene terephthalate/adipate).
