CATALYST FOR PRODUCING EPOXY COMPOUND

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new catalyst system by which an epoxy compound can be produced in the yield higher than that of the conventional method by oxidizing an olefin compound by using molecular oxygen as an oxidizer and to provide a method for producing the epoxy compound by using this catalyst system.

SOLUTION: This catalyst for producing the epoxy compound is the multiple catalyst system consisting of a noble metal catalyst and a metal peroxide catalyst having a peroxy group (μ-O2-2). The olefin compound is oxidized catalytically by a molecular oxygen-containing gas by using this catalyst system preferably in a methanol solvent to obtain the corresponding epoxy compound.
