PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly manage image data within an image database. SOLUTION: This image management device 1 comprises the image database 31 storing a plurality of image data, and performs the management of the image data stored in the image database. This device further comprises a film scanner 4 for acquiring film image data d1; a print scanner 5 for acquiring print image data d2; a degree-of-approximation determination means (e.g., CPU 1) for comparing the film image data with the print image data to determine the degree of approximation thereof; and an association information generation means (e.g., CPU 1) for generating association information for associating the film image data with the print image data based on the determination result of approximation of image data.
