PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material excellent in storage stability of a back layer, particularly a heat developable photosensitive material which suppresses devitrification of its back face. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material has an image forming layer containing a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder on one face side of a support, and the heat developable photosensitive material has an anti-halation layer containing a dye which is decolored by heat development, a base precursor and a binder on a back face side of the support opposite to the face with the image forming layer, wherein the binder in the anti-halation layer contains≥60 mass% of an aqueous dispersion of a hydrophobic polymer and a coating amount of the base precursor is 0.001-0.25 g/m<SP>2</SP>.
