PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner, in which the number of optical elements and photodetectors constituting light-receiving means is decreased and the light emission of a light spot at a light-receiving point is detected accurately. SOLUTION: In the optical scanner, an optical path which guides the luminous flux from the light-receiving point to the photodetector, such as a photodiode (PD), is composed of a flexible optical transmission element (optical fiber, optical waveguide or the like).
