PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation of a flange peripheral edge by impact of a reel for a metal wire body having a flange made of steel plate. SOLUTION: The first flange member 4 made of steel plate and a second flange member 5 are superposed in an axial direction to form the flanges 2, 2 and the superposed peripheral edges of the first flange member 4 and the second flange member 5 are folded to a curl shape. Thereby, the peripheral edge of the second flange member 5 becoming a ring shape of approximately whole circular cross section forms a hollow ring-like flange peripheral edge reinforcement part 8 wherein the peripheral edge of the first flange member 4 becoming the ring shape of approximately whole circular cross section is inwardly rolled in the contact state. The peripheral edge of the second flange member 5 becomes the ring shape of approximately whole circular cross section and the peripheral edge of the first flange member 4 becomes the ring shape of approximately semi-circular cross section.
