PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high speed conveyance of a paper in an inkjet recorder. SOLUTION: In this inkjet recorder, a driving control is applied to a stepping motor as a driving force for conveying a sheet when the stepping motor is accelerated such that output torques of a two-phase excitation and a W1-2 phase excitation in the identical velocities are compared with each other and one of the driving controls of which the torque is greater than the other is selected corresponding to the velocity in the accelerating to be applied thereto.
