<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impedance-measuring apparatus for animals that can simply and stably measure living body impedance and a body composition meter that can calculate body composition data on the basis of measurement of high reliability using the above apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: On electrodes for measuring the impedance that are allowed to come into contact with individual soles of four legs, an animal is stably held by making leg holders movable according to the distance between legs of the animal thereby achieving the stabilized and high-precision measurement of impedance. On the basis of the resultant impedance in addition to the body weight and other individual information, the data of the body composition can be obtained with high reliability and health control can be carried out for the animal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
