PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple parallel drive power supply having a long lifetime. SOLUTION: The VI characteristic line of each DC-DC converter 1A, 1B is made to intersect one line parallel with a current axis (transverse axis) in the greater part of each operating range. Consequently, the range where currents flow out of both DC-DC converters 1A and 1B for one output voltage is widened. In other words, loads are distributed to both DC-DC converters 1A and 1B in the greater part of the operating range. Consequently, the lifetime of the DC-DC converter 1A is prolonged and thereby the lifetime of the parallel drive power supply itself is prolonged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
