PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems associated with a conventional ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, such as a plurality of trace lines with respect to a doppler waveform cannot be drawn. SOLUTION: A doppler waveform comprises a plurality of spectra 106, and each spectrum 106 is a combination of a plurality of subspectra 108 and 110. Peak points 108A and 110A of each of the subspectra 108 and 110 are specified respectively, and trace points 108B and 110B of each of the subspectra 108 and 110 are specified on the basis of the peak points. By connecting the plurality of trace points of the each spectrum specified as above, a plurality of trace lines with respect to a doppler waveform can be formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
