The invention relates to a repeating weapon comprising a closing head (11) which can be displaced in the direction of the shot or longitudinal direction thereof and a locking block (25) which can be displaced in a transversal manner thereto. Said locking head is used to secure the closing head (1) and can be inserted in recesses (5, 6, 21) and can be inserted into the weapon housing (1, 2). The inventive weapon also comprises a handle (65) for displacing the closing head (11) back and forth, in addition to inserting and releasing the locking block (25). Said weapon is provided with a closing carrier (13) which can be displaced in a parallel manner in relation to the closing head (11) by means of an initial path and an end path, entraining said closing head on the end path. At least one inclined surface (57) is formed on the closing carrier (13). Said inclined surface engages with a counter surface on the locking block (25), causing said locking block to become removed or introduced when the initial path is reengaged. Preferably, the repeating weapon is embodied in the form of a shotgun, or more preferably, a pumpgun.
