<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide barium titanate which has small particle diameters, contains little unnecessary impurities and has excellent electrical properties, and which can form a thin dielectric ceramic film necessary for a small size capacitor enabling miniaturization of electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The barium titanate is a single crystal in the form of particles, in which particles without a void having a diameter of 1 nm or more are contained in an amount of ≥20% by number of the total particles. It is possible to miniaturize the electronic equipment by using slurry, films, dielectric materials, and piezoelectric materials using the barium titanate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
