<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-sided recording and reproduction type optical recording medium which is formed by a non-2P method and has three recording layers. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium, a first information substrate wherein a first write once recording layer consisting essentially of an organic dye, a first reflection layer and an organic protective layer are successively formed on a first substrate having a light guide groove and a second information substrate wherein a third inorganic protective layer, a third recording layer consisting of a phase transition type recording material containing an Sb-Te based alloy, a second inorganic protective layer, a second reflection layer, a second write once recording layer consisting essentially of an organic dye and an inorganic protective layer are successively formed on a second substrate having a light guide groove are stuck to each other via an organic transparent intermediate layer (an adhesive layer) so that the substrates come to outer sides. Recording and reproduction of the first and the second recording layers are performed by irradiating the recording medium with a laser beam from the first substrate direction and the recording and reproduction of the third recording layer are performed by irradiating the recording medium with the laser beam from the second substrate side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
