<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of barium titanate not only excellent in the minuteness of its powder particles and uniformity of the particle size, but also very low in the contamination of a hydroxide group, low in the defects of barium, and excellent in the controllability of its composition. <P>SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing barium titanate, carboxylates containing barium and titanium are kept in an alkaline aqueous solution of pH not lower than 11.5, substantially at a reaction temperature of not lower than the thermal decomposition temperature of the carboxylates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
