<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain further improved property during hot water storage operation by cooling medium-temperature water concerned and returning it into a hot water storage tank when starting the operation of a heat pump water heater. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump water heater comprises a bypass circuit 17 having a second pressure reducer 7 and a second refrigerant-water heat exchanger, a hot water supply circuit 18 connecting the lower part of the hot water storage tank 5, a first circulation pump 6, a first refrigerant-water heat exchanger 2, a three-way valve 9 and the upper part of the hot water storage tank 5 together, and a low temperature water circuit 19 connecting the three-way valve 9, the second refrigerant-water heat exchanger 8 and the lower part of the hot water storage tank 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
