<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electric outboard motor to be substituted for a high-output gasoline engine. <P>SOLUTION: An outboard motor 1A is divided into three portions in the vertical direction, and an upper and a lower parts of a middle unit 3 positioning in an intermediate portion are fitted to a hull 21 through mounting devices 10 and 11. The outboard motor 1A is provided with an electric motor 14, a battery 43 for supplying power to the electric motor 14, and a control unit 44 for controlling rotating speed of the electric motor 14.
