PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system capable of consistently performing the version management, building, authentication, distribution and change of an application, and to provide its method. SOLUTION: An application management server 10 comprises: a version setting part 40 for setting a version with respect to a version management server 12 for managing a file to constitute the application; and a building part 50 for building the file and converting it into an executable form, and holds the built performance file set 180. An application list generation part 70 generates the list of the application to be used by an authenticated user and distributes the application to an application management client 30 connected to a network 20, based on the list.
