PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine capable of operating an ON / OFF of a V8 function at a user level depending on line quality of a caller. SOLUTION: The facsimile machine including: a means dealing with a before-communication information notice service, connected to a line making contract with a caller telephone number notice service, and storing combined information between a caller number received at the arrival of an incoming call and a caller number whose V8 protocol communication is inhibited; and a means for automatically closing a line, is provided with a means that compares the caller number received at the arrival of the incoming call with a caller number registered in advance in the facsimile machine and whose V8 protocol communication is inhibited and inhibits the V8 protocol communication when the caller number received at the arrival of the incoming call is coincident with the stored information.
