PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface finishing method capable of simply and reliably preventing the occurrence of air bubbles and finishing the surface into a predetermined thickness reliably and smoothly. SOLUTION: The surface finishing method comprises a process of securing a space 3 with an arbitrary interval between the upper surface 11 of planar bodies 1 directly opposed to each other and a smooth surface 21 of a surface-finishing body 2 made of hard material, a process of continuously filling a coating material 4 into the space 3 while applying a pressure so as not to form air bubbles and a process of peeling off the surface-finished body 2 after curing the filled coating material 4.
