PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise caused indoors, especially in a car, by using a floor mat. SOLUTION: A sheet is formed of a mat base comprising, in each mass part, SBS 100. CaCO<SB>3</SB>25, a proper amount of pigments, and a two or three parts foaming agent, and an edge forming compound. The sheet is molded and cut into a predetermined shape while extruding. A carpet which is also cut into the predetermined shape is put on the bottom of a metal mold, the sheets cut into the predetermined shape are stacked. Then the metal mold is heated up to about 190°C to foam the sheet double. After that, the edge part is formed by cold pressing, while the entire surface of sheet and the carpet are bonded into one at the same time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
