Disclosed is a heated rail controller apparatus (1) and a computer controlled process for the control of power supplied to a heatable element in the form of a towel rail (5). The apparatus (1) includes a power source (4), configured and arranged so that it may supply power to the towel rail (5), and a control button (3). The control button (3) is associated with a controller (2) to initiate the controller (2) to control the supply of power to the rail (5). The control button (3) is configured to provide a control signal to the controller (2) such that, in use, the controller (2) will supply power to the rail (5) for a predetermined period of time before switching off. |
