PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP packet error processing apparatus and a method, and a computer readable recording medium with a program for performing the method recorded thereon.

SOLUTION: In the error processing and the apparatus and the recording medium with the program for performing the method recorded thereon in which communications with at least one or more transmitting nodes are interrupted for a second predetermined time if this situation occurs more than the predetermined number of times that the next error is detected within a first predetermined time after the detection of a previous error in an IP packet received from the transmitting nodes, error processing may also be performed by referring to a cache part comprised of one or more entries that are identified by an address of the error-detected IP packet. Thus, no ICMP packet is transmitted for the second predetermined time to the transmitting nodes suspected of suffering from an IP packet malicious operation or service denial attack, thereby reducing a network load of a receiving node.
