PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device for preventing cracks on a substrate and improving deterioration in the quality of the panel. SOLUTION: The device has a plasma display panel, having a plasma discharge structure in a space between a first substrate and a second substrate disposed opposite with each other, with the first substrate has a chamfered portion in which an edge of an outside substrate face on the side opposite to an opposite substrate face facing the second substrate is chamfered; and the second substrate has a chamfered portion, in which an edge of an outside substrate face on the side opposite to an opposite substrate face facing the first substrate is chamfered.
