PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct copy system or the like recording acquired image data files by distributing folders by the kinds of the image data files or the like in simple constitution. SOLUTION: A first recording and reproducing device selects a data file to be copied and transferred to a second recording and reproducing device from displayed data files, and transmits a copy request, file information and information specifying a copy destination folder in the case of specifying the copy destination folder to the second recording and reproducing device at the time of executing copy transfer. The second recording and reproducing device executes copy of the data file to the specified folder at the time of receiving the information specifying the copy destination folder and executes the copy of the copy-transferred data file to a new folder at the time of not receiving the information specifying the copy destination folder.
