PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide packing for liquid chromatography, for inhibiting non-specific adsorption of a measured object in ion-exchange liquid chromatography by controlling and reducing the influence due to an ion exchange group on a support carrier, having high measurement accuracy and reproducibity, and superior strength. SOLUTION: In the packing for liquid chromatography, the support carrier comprises an acrylic acid ester polymer or a methacrylic acid ester polymer, having a positive ion exchange group or a negative ion exchange group, a water-soluble polymer has a plurality of ionic charged sections with a polarity reverse to that of the ion exchanged group of the support carrier and is fixed to the support carrier; and the total quantity of charge, when the water-soluble polymer is ionized, is smaller than the total quantity of charge, when the support carrier is ionized.
