PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelling agent having superior gel formability and capable of producing a gel composition superior in spreadability upon application to the skin. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the gelling agent (a) for an oily base, which contains at least one compound (A) and at least one compound (B), and a gel composition containing the gelling agent (a) and the oily base.
