PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyimide electrodeposition coating material composition which has excellent heat resistance, and is capable of producing a highly insulated electrodeposition coating layer having high reliability on the surface of an object to be electrodeposited in which peeling or crack of the layer hardly occurs, and to provide an electrodepositing method using the same. SOLUTION: The electrodeposition coating material composition contains a block copolymerized polyimide as a resin component wherein the polyimide has a siloxane bond in the molecular skeleton and an anionic group in the molecule. The anionic electrodepositing method comprises immersing an electric conductor into the electrodeposition coating material composition, passing an electric current to the conductor as the anode, and depositing a polyimide film on the conductor.
