PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a styrene resin foam excellent in environment-adaptability, heat-insulating property and flame retardancy. SOLUTION: The styrene resin foam is obtained by extrusion-foaming a styrene resin using a blowing agent comprising (a) 2-6 pts. wt. of a 3-5C saturated hydrocarbon, (b) 1-7 pts. wt. of at least one selected from among methyl chloride, ethyl chloride and dimethyl ether, and (c) 0.1-5 pts. wt. of a third blowing agent, and contains (d) 0.1-20 pts. wt. of halogen-containing flame-retardants and (e) 0.2-6 pts. wt. of surface-treated titanium oxide as a heat-insulating property-enhancing agent, each amount being based on 100 pts. wt. of the styrene resin. The styrene resin foam has a density of 20-50 kg/m<SP>3</SP>and is composed of bubbles having a diameter of at most 0.25 mm and bubbles having a diameter of 0.3-1.0 mm, which are distributed in a sea-island state through the cell membranes, and the ratio of the area occupied by bubbles having a bubble diameter of at most 0.25 mm is 10-90% in a cross-sectional area of the foam.
