PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact steam reforming type hydrogen production device in which a preheating apparatus for raw fuel gas and an evaporator generating steam required for steam reforming are integrated. SOLUTION: In the compact steam reforming type hydrogen production device in which an evaporator is integrated, each circular flow passage 11 for preheating and each reformed gas cooling flow passage 17 are adjacently arranged, thus, the temperature of the raw fuel gas is elevated, and simultaneously, reformed gas can be cooled; further, since the circular flow passages 17 for cooling the reformed gas are installed adjacently to a burner 18 for combustion, the reformed gas can be effectively cooled to a prescribed temperature; also, heat energy can be transferred from combustion exhaust gas heated at about 400 to 500°C to water or a mixture of water and steam at the inside of each helical tube 15; and carry out the function of an evaporator by the apparatus integrated with a reformer.
