Apparatus for treating a subject is provided, including an elongated generally rigid support element having a length of at least 1.8 cm, and having a distal end. The apparatus also includes one or more electrodes fixed to the support element in a vicinity of the distal end thereof, and configured to be positioned in a vicinity of a site of the subject when the support element is inserted into a body of the subject, such that a portion of the support element remains outside of the body.
