A rotor (200) for a permanent magnet embedded type motor, in which a permanent magnet (202) can be simply fixed in a permanent magnet receiving hole (16) without damaging the permanent magnet, and an assembling method and assembling device (100a) for the rotor. The rotor (200) includes a rotor core (12) constructed by layering thin steel plates (11). Recesses (204a, 204b) having a depth corresponding to the thickness of about two thin steel sheets are formed at positions in end faces (12a, 12b) of the rotor core (12), the positions being near openings at both ends of a magnet receiving hole (16). Near the recess (204a) is formed a ridge (206a) made by plastically deforming the inner wall of the magnet receiving hole (16). Near the recess (204b) is formed a ridge (206b) made by plastically deforming the inner wall of the magnet receiving hole (16). The ridge (206b) is constituted of a press contact section (206a1) coming into press-contact with the permanent magnet (202) from the side face direction of the magnet and a projection section (206a2) projecting above an end face in the direction of arrow Z of the permanent magnet (202). The ridge (206b) is constituted of a press contact section (206b1) coming into press-contact with the permanent magnet (202) from the side face direction of the magnet and a projection section (206b2) projecting above an end face in the direction of arrow Z of the permanent magnet (202). |
