<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface emitting apparatus having high light directivity, high luminance and high uniformity in luminance in consideration of circumstances. <P>SOLUTION: The surface emitting apparatus 100 is provided with a light guide plate 2, a light source 3 and a prism sheet 31, the light guide plate 2 is provided with a prism part 4 consisting of a gentle slope part 4a and a sharp slope part 4b arranged to the side of an one-side end face 2a as compared with the gentle slope part 4a and a plurality of light refracting parts 34 each of which consists of a refracting surface 34a and a reflection surface 34b on the incident surface of the prism sheet 31. Light led from the light source 3 into the light guide plate 2 is emitted from the gentle slope part 4a and made incident on the light refracting part 34 and the light made incident on the light refracting part 34 is guided into the inside by the refracting surface 34a, reflected by the reflection surface 34b and then emitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
